Meet the Team – FAQs
Choosing the right nutrition support can raise a lot of questions.
Are your dietitians accredited?
Yes. All dietitians at The Nutrition Spot are Accredited Practising Dietitians (APDs) and members of Dietitians Australia. This means they meet national standards for professional practice and provide evidence-based nutrition care.
How do I know which dietitian to book with?
Both Megan and Jessica work with a wide range of clients and provide general health nutrition support. Each dietitian also has specific areas of interest listed on this page to help guide your choice. If you’re unsure, you’re welcome to book with either dietitian or contact us and we’ll help match you to the most suitable practitioner.
Do your dietitians offer telehealth appointments?
Yes. All dietitians offer secure telehealth appointments Australia-wide, allowing you to access support from anywhere. In-person appointments are also available at selected clinic locations.
Do I need a referral to see a dietitian?
No referral is required to book an appointment. However, if you plan to use Medicare rebates, a valid GP referral and Chronic Disease Management Plan are required.
How much do appointments cost?
Fees vary depending on the type and length of the appointment. Full pricing is displayed at the time of booking. All appointments are paid in full, with receipts provided for Medicare, private health insurance, or NDIS reimbursement where applicable.
Can I use Medicare to see your dietitians?
If you have a GP Chronic Disease Management Plan, you may be eligible for Medicare rebates for a limited number of dietitian appointments per calendar year. Appointments are paid in full, and Medicare rebates are processed after your consultation.
Do you accept private health insurance?
Yes. Many private health funds offer rebates for dietitian services. Appointments are paid in full on the day, and a receipt is provided for you to claim directly with your health fund.
Do you accept NDIS funding?
We currently support self-managed NDIS participants only. Appointments must be paid in full, and a receipt is provided for reimbursement through your NDIS plan or plan manager.
Can I switch dietitians if I need to?
Yes. If your needs change or you feel another dietitian may be a better fit, you’re welcome to switch at any time. Our goal is to ensure you feel comfortable and supported.
Will I be given a meal plan?
Rather than rigid meal plans, we provide flexible, practical guidance that fits your lifestyle. During sessions, your dietitian can help you build meal and snack ideas, recipes, and simple structure that works for you.
If additional support is needed, a personalised meal plan can be created outside of consultation time as an optional extra.
How do I find a dietitian near me?
Our dietitians offer in-clinic appointments across Melbourne’s western suburbs, including Wyndham Vale, Werribee, and Keilor East.
If you’re not located nearby, we also provide secure telehealth appointments Australia-wide, so you can access personalised nutrition support wherever you live.
How many appointments will I need?
This varies for each person. Some clients benefit from a small number of sessions, while others choose ongoing support. We’ll discuss options with you and tailor a plan based on your goals and preferences.
Still unsure which dietitian is right for you?
A first appointment is a chance to meet your dietitian, talk through your concerns, and explore whether ongoing support feels right — with no pressure to continue.

Whether you’re managing a health condition, supporting long-term wellbeing, or simply looking for clear, practical nutrition advice, our Accredited Practising Dietitians are here to support you with personalised, evidence-based care.
